Yosemitech Y515-A Online Chlorophyll Sensors are sophisticated devices designed to continuously and instantly measure chlorophyll levels in various water sources and environments. These sensors are important for monitoring the health of aquatic ecosystems, identifying algal blooms, and ensuring the purity of drinking water, among other applications.
They utilize the fluorescence method measuring principle. A high-energy LED light source is used to illuminate the water, causing the chlorophyll a to emit fluorescence of a specific wavelength. This fluorescence is then measured to determine the concentration of chlorophyll a in the water. The sensors are widely used in monitoring, investigating, and researching algae and phytoplankton conditions in rivers, lakes, ponds, marine surveys, aquaculture, drinking water sources, and other settings.
